I have been fighting a death wobble issue for a couple weeks now. It mainly reared its ugly head after hitting a bump or pothole. After checking everything from controls to trackbars to wheel balance I did the ol' ball joint test. I found significant play and decided after only 12k miles it was time to get new ones.
Decided to take a quick impromptu trip through Bald Mountain Jeep Trail.
The weather was great and the water holes were a bit shallower than normal on the trails. It was about an hour drive out from Charlottesville (if you don't count the time I spent driving the wrong way). Make sure you take Route 660 to the trail head. If you just follow Google it will take you the wrong way to a gate and private property that does not link over to the trail head.
