Central Virginia 4x4
About The Group
Central VA 4x4 is a group of 4x4 offroad enthusiasts who are make/model agnostic (yes we know the logo looks like a certain make/model). We do not care what platform you choose to wheel. What we have in common is a love for the outdoors, wheeling, making new friends, and giving back to the community. Most of us have run every public trail in the state of Virginia. We are always looking for opportunities to wheel and cut trails on private property. Feel free to contact us if you would like to participate.
There are many great wheeling locations within a moderate amount of driving from Central Virginia. We hope to organize trips to places like Rausch Creek, Uwharrie, Greenbrier, Chaos Offroad etc ... We also participate in events such as Wheelin 4 Hope and will be looking to get more involved as we grow.
Oh, do you have land or connection to land in the area that we can wheel on? Fill out the contact form
and let us know.
Install or fix upgrades and mods
This can be just as fun as wheeling. Everyone loves adding upgrades and mods to their trail rig. Anyone is welcome to ask for an extra set of hands or simply provide some adult beverages and the peanut gallery will show up to heckle.
We also like to share tools, garage space, and anything else someone might need in a bind.
We have to have somewhere to wheel
As many of you already know, keeping these public trails open requires a lot of work and they can be easily closed due to vandalism, trash, or people not following directions. One of the best ways be a positive example is to organize and/or participate in trail cleanups. Hopefully we can work with other state wide organizations to give back and ensure our favorite public trails remain open.
Inclement Weather Assistance
Again, we think it is very important to be a positive representation of the 4x4 community. A huge opportunity arises during inclement weather situations. Most of our rigs are far more capable that your average vehicle. This can be extremely beneficial during heavy snow, rain, or post storm situations. Also, our recovery gear can be a huge help to local authorities and utilities.
When it snows, we will organize providing rides for nurses, doctors, and anyone else that contacts us. Any vehicle stuck in the snow that is willing to accept help, we can provide a safe recovery. After heavy rains or wind storms we will most likely be out clear roads and safely recovering vehicles willing to accept help.
